About Karhu
Karhu is a Finnish sportswear brand founded in 1916, originally producing track and field gear before becoming known for outfitting legendary Olympic athletes like Paavo Nurmi. The brand adopted the name "Karhu" (Finnish for “bear”) in the 1920s and gained further recognition when it sold its original three-stripe logo to Adidas in the 1950s, replacing it with the “M-symbol” for "Mestari" (“champion” in Finnish).
