The Black Ember TKS (“tech kit sling”) is made from a proprietary high-performance textile - a Microhex HTX, which is a fully waterproof, high tenacity, 3-layer material that’s exceptionally durable and tactile. Two unique yarns are combined using a crossweave to create a subtle visual appeal, making this bag as aesthetically pleasing and fashionable as it is highly functional and well considered.

The exterior of the bag, superbly sleek and minimal, is defined mostly by its simple yet effective strap management and highly technical sewing. Black Ember’s bond stitch approach is used to great effect here, creating seams which are durable and fully waterproof to help protect the bag, which when considered in tandem with reliable YKK AquaGuard zippers, achieves an IPX6 rating.
The bag’s strap can simply be pulled from its original position, wrapped around the tech pouch, and connected to instantly transform it into a flexible sling bag. A fidlock magnetic v buckle can be used to secure the strap and ensure easy adjustment on the go.
When the strap isn’t in use, the sling bag transforms back into a tech pouch that can be easily thrown into a larger bag or carried around. There’s also a small loop for hanging the bag of any hooks or attachment points with a simple carabiner - this is located on the dense and comfortable back panel, which is where the straps can be positioned when they aren’t needed.
